What is your nickname?
Xandy, Fitz, Al
Do you have Brothers and sisters?
No
What were your favorite subjects in school?
History. How we got to where we are is always going to be relevant. It’s true when they say it repeats itself.
At what age did you start acting?
15, then retired, then 20 again.
Who are your top 3 performers?
It’s always a revolving door of admiration. Right now the ones that come to mind are Christian Bale, Ralph Fiennes and Cate Blanchett. They all transform completely for their roles and I admire that.

What are some of your hobbies outside of acting?
Preventing my ‘94 Defender from going to the grave. Food & cooking, Exercise, Gaming

What is a favorite memory of yours if you don’t mind sharing?
Having booked my first job in March 2017, I was flown to the states, they lent me a car and place to rest my head for a month to shoot a CBS pilot about journalists who fight crime - called “The Get”. I worked for 8 days on the pilot. It was the happiest yet strangest experience. I worked alongside Brad Garrett (Everybody loves Raymond) and Amy Brenneman (who I had just seen in Heat) and internally I was freaking out every day and was entirely not ready for any of that. But it landed me in America and that’s really where my career began.
Dislikes: Yes, many.
Tell me about your experience filming your latest project and how it differed from the roles you’ve played and prepared for in the past?
Chevalier, an extraordinary true story set in late-18th century France that explores the life of Joseph Bologne, a famed violinist, fencer and composer - Mozart’s contemporary. His legacy was destroyed once Napoleon took power due to him being a black artist.
I played Louis Philippe II, Duc d'Orléans, who supported him in his early career. The extravagant costumes, true to era set design, the intention to educate behind the story and the passion of the creatives in telling this untold story were all things I hadn’t necessarily encountered before.
