Following a breakout role in Sammi Cohen’s You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, the teen-ager and fan favorite sheds light on what he’s like IRL.
DIO ANTHONY: What's your favorite film and why?
DYLAN HOFFMAN: Ferris Bueller's Day Off is my all time favorite film. It's been on repeat since I was 10. Who wouldn't love a crazy fun city ditch day adventure like that? I'm from Chicago, where it was filmed and have been dreaming about a reboot, honestly. I would love to play Ferris, if there ever was one.
DIO ANTHONY: What're some Dylanisms-that those who know you would agree with?
DYLAN HOFFMAN: Stay positive, You got this! Keep it real. Do your Own thing. Seize the day! "Yo0000!!" and "Where's my hair product?"
DIO ANTHONY: Describe Dylan in five words:
DYLAN HOFFMAN: 1. Compassionate, 2. Motivated 3. Articulate 4. Creative 5. Chill.
DIO ANTHONY: Describe family in three words:
DYLAN HOFFMAN: 1. Love Family Belonging, is 2. EVERYTHING! 3. Authenticity.
DIO ANTHONY: Tell me about a family memory that is special to you, and why?
DYLAN HOFFMAN: A very recent family memory is that I was able to just attend my first NYFW with my mom, and it was her first NYFW as well. We both love adventure and we both love fashion. It was super special and exciting to be able to do that together, especially for the very first time. It was a blast!
DIO ANTHONY: Tell me about a memory outside of your family that is special to you and why?
DYLAN HOFFMAN: While I was living in Toronto a couple summers ago filming, ‘You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah’, we were out having dinner one night with a lot of the cast, having a great time as usual, and out of nowhere Adam Sandler starts singing, "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" by Celine Dion and then the whole entire table joined in singing the song together. It was so awesome. A really special memory I will never forget.
